2007 Teaching Awards Honourees
Danielle Honour – Elementary Teacher

Danielle Honour’s remarkable ability to inspire and motivate children to learn has made her a favourite at Norseman Junior Middle School. Ms. Honour keeps a close eye on all of her students and ensures they all feel included and welcome, but her interest in teaching extends outside her own school’s walls. Ms. Honour took a major role in raising funds to build a school house in Kenya and initiated the Friends Across the City project – linking her class with another Toronto school with a different ethnic and socio-economic make up.

Ms. Corsini has helped her students reach out to those in need by accompanying them to the Dominican Republic to build houses and assisting in organizing a pilgrimage walk for the poor.
