OTIP donates to student programs, literacy support and children’s charities

On behalf of the OTIP Community Fund, OTIP CEO Vic Medland presented representatives from Breakfast for Learning, Frontier College, Live Free and the SickKids Foundation with cheques totaling $110,000.

Every August, OTIP hosts a charity golf tournament to raise funds for deserving programs that are important to our members. In its 26th year, this year’s Charity Golf Classic raised $131,758 for the OTIP Community Fund.

At OTIP, we don’t have a profit motive. We have a ‘giving back to members of the education community’ motive,” said Vic Medland, OTIP CEO. “These programs are very special to our members; they are programs that make a difference in the lives of students and of families right across the province.

Working together with its incredible sponsors and players, the OTIP Charity Golf Classic has raised over $1.7 million for the OTIP Community Fund since the tournament began.
