Wellness is more than a hashtag

Wellness is more than just a term or social media hashtag.

And while it is often confused with terms like health, well-being and happiness, it is the active pursuit of activities, choices and lifestyles that lead to a state of holistic health.

People often think about wellness in terms of physical health — diet, exercise, etc., but it is so much more. Wellness refers to the holistic care of your physical, mental and spiritual well-being, fueling your body, engaging your mind and nurturing your spirit.

It’s about living life fully in a way that allows you to be the best version of yourself.

One way to understand wellness is to consider it as a continuum that extends from unwell to optimal wellness. For example, if everything in your life is going great, but you then begin to feel sad or lonely at times, other areas of your life may be affected, and you likely won't feel as well as you want to. You may begin to distance yourself from colleagues or struggle with feeling motivated. In this case, it takes strength and resiliency to keep moving forward. But it can also take support from others.

We’re here for you

Wellness is not about getting it perfect; it’s about getting started. One step at a time.

We encourage you to take the first step in your wellness journey and check your coverage to see which service providers are covered by your benefits plan or RTIP policy.

We also understand that your wellness journey is uniquely your own.
