Hiring Process
OTIP is committed to finding the most suitable match between the individual and the position
available. To apply for a position:
- Submit your application online – Complete an online application. You may apply for a specific posting or simply submit a general application.
- Consideration for an interview – If OTIP determines that your qualifications match with the job posting for which you applied, a human resources representative will contact you by telephone to arrange an interview.
- Interview Process – If you are selected for an interview, you will meet with the hiring manager and a human resources representative. During the interview process you will learn more about the position you are being considered for. You will be asked a series of pre-set questions and be required to complete recruitment testing.
- Employment Offer – When the interview process is complete, OTIP will contact you to confirm whether or not you are the successful candidate for the position. If you are not the right fit for one position, you might be the perfect candidate for a different one; therefore, we will keep your resume on file for six months for future consideration.
Interview Tips
- Research OTIP and the related department or product line
- Review the job description prior to the interview
- Arrive on time, preferably a few minutes early
- Prepare questions you would like to ask the human resources representative or the hiring manager
- Be prepared to discuss your applicable skills and experience
- Bring 3 business references with you
- Bring a pen and paper to take notes
