Celebrating Education at the OTIP Teaching Awards

Work Environment

OTIP is a great place to work, offering a people-oriented work environment. Frequent town hall meetings, social events and a lively Intranet, keep our team of 275 (and growing) employees motivated and connected.

Our Office

Our corporate head office is located in Waterloo, Ontario, with a second office in Ottawa. Our open, modern work environment is designed to engage employees and encourage collaboration.

Social Committee

OTIP's social committee organizes a variety of events throughout the year that promote goodwill amongst employees. Events are not solely social, but also take the opportunity to recognize important moments in people's lives and respond to the needs of the less fortunate in the community. Some of our annual events include: dress down charity Fridays, children's Christmas party, employee Christmas party, food drives, family movie nights, and the annual corporate picnic.

Town Hall Meetings

Bi-monthly town hall meetings allow OTIP's leaders to share pertinent information with all employees.

Employee Appreciation

Every April, OTIP's operating committee takes time from their busy schedules to recognize all OTIP employees for their efforts throughout the year by serving up treats, prizes and a delicious luncheon.

Human Rights

OTIP is committed to providing an environment for employment that is supportive of professional and personal development and free from discrimination/harassment with respect to race, ancestry, colour, sex, sexual orientation, ethnic origin, place of origin, citizenship, creed, age, record of offences, marital status, family status or disability.

This policy is not restricted to only our office setting or official OTIP activities. OTIP does not condone any form of discrimination/harassment at work or at any business activity in association with OTIP including seminars, conferences, employee parties and after-hour events.

All OTIP employees are expected to familiarize themselves with the workplace discrimination/harassment policy and conduct themselves in an appropriate and responsible manner, with respect for the rights of others.

Workplace Etiquette

OTIP strives to maintain a positive work environment where employees treat each other with respect and courtesy. We encourage all employees to keep an open mind and graciously accept constructive feedback.
