OTIP nurtures a tradition of philanthropy. We are an organization that advances effective and responsive
philanthropy through our involvement in community outreach initiatives.
Breakfast for Learning is the only national, non-profit organization, solely dedicated to supporting child nutrition programs in Canada. Recognizing the strong link between nutrition and learning, their breakfast, lunch and snack programs have helped over half-a-million children across Canada get the nutrition they need to succeed.
During July and August, OTIP is proud to support Breakfast for Learning through Charity Fridays.

OTIP Annual Charity Golf Classic
The OTIP Annual Charity Golf Classic
funds the Memories of a Gentle Presence Bereavement Program at SickKids. In
addition, funds raised help Perinatal Bereavement Services Ontario (PBSO) to
expand services, educate and train volunteers and support group facilitators across Ontario. Over 19 years, OTIP's
Annual Charity Golf Classic has raised over $1 million for these admirable organizations.
OTIP Bursary Program
OTIP offers twelve $1,500 academic bursaries every year.
Our bursary program promotes post-secondary education
for the children of our insured members by investing in their future.
OTIP Teaching Awards
Sponsored by OTIP and administered
by OTF,
the OTIP Teaching Awards recognize
the vital contribution that teachers make to society. Students, parents and colleagues are invited
to nominate a teacher who
works to motivate, challenge and inspire, gives selflessly, and puts students' needs first. Awards are given
each year to outstanding teachers in the categories of elementary, secondary and beginning teacher.
Ontario Students Against Impaired Driving (OSAID)
OSAID is a youth-driven
organization with chapter members in over 60 percent of Ontario's secondary schools. OSAID is focused on educating
people of all ages about the dangers of impaired driving due to any cause. As a sponsor, OTIP has a representative
sitting on OSAID's Board of Directors, and provides financial support for campaigns.
Send'em Off Smiling
Through their annual back-to-school campaign,
Send'em Off Smiling provides school clothing
and supplies for children in need. For OTIP employees, a strong connection with the education community has led
to overwhelming support of this initiative. In two annual campaigns, OTIP has provided backpacks for 81 children
in our community.
United Way
OTIP and its employees support the United Way through
an annual fundraising campaign. Over $214,000 has been raised since OTIP began supporting this worthy organization.
