By entering your personal email address in My Benefits and My Claims as the “preferred email address,” you will get the most-up-to-date information about your benefits plan from your Employee Life and Health Trust (ELHT), OTIP and the insurer (Manulife) sent to the email address of your choice rather than your school board email address.
You need to update your email address in both My Benefits and My Claims. Why?
- My Benefits is the administrative system that manages your benefits and premium costs. The email address contained in My Benefits is used to send you information regarding the management of your benefits including eligibility, premium costs, plan changes, etc.
- My Claims is the claims system where you can send in your claims to get your money back. The email address contained in My Claims is used to send you information about the status of your claims.
