OTIP Community Grant

The OTIP Community Grant program provides funding to charitable and non-profit organizations across Ontario to support initiatives that create positive social and community impact. We prioritize investments that strengthen well-being, advance equity in education, and support communities in meaningful and measurable ways.

This program may be a good fit if:

You are a registered charity or eligible non-profit organization
Your initiative aligns with health and well-being, equity in education, or community needs
You are seeking funding (typically under $5,000) for a clear community benefit

Applications are accepted until June 15 at 11:59 p.m. and reviewed following the annual submission deadline. Applicants will be notified of funding decisions by September 15, with funding distributed shortly afterward.

What we fund

We support organizations and initiatives aligned to one or more of our focus areas: health and well-being, equity in education, and community-responsive needs.

What makes a strong application

Priority is given to initiatives that:

Address a clear community need
Support prevention or early intervention
Improve access to resources, services, or supports
Demonstrate measurable outcomes
Create opportunities for collaboration or employee engagement

Eligibility

Organizations must:

Be a registered charity or eligible non-profit organization
Operate in Canada
Demonstrate alignment with one of our community investment priorities
Use funds for a clear community benefit
Provide a short impact summary following funding

What we don’t fund

OTIP Community Grants generally do not support:

Individual fundraising requests
Political or partisan activities
Religious activities not open to the broader community
For-profit initiatives
Requests not aligned to one of our focus areas
Retroactive funding for completed projects
