OTIP believes in community from the inside out. We believe that being good is great, but doing good is better. We support the communities in which our members live and work through the following charitable programs.
OTIP Support Staff Worker Awards
The OTIP Support Staff Worker Awards seek to recognize and celebrate the important role that support staff workers play in our school communities and to student success. Each year, we recognize two support staff workers in the categories of educational support, and office professional, custodial and maintenance.
OTIP Bursary Program
Through the OTIP Bursary Program, we are proud to offer a $1,500 bursary to 20 students each year. Learn more about eligibility and how to apply.
OTIP Teaching Awards
Sponsored by OTIP and administered by the Ontario Teachers’ Federation (OTF), the OTIP Teaching Awards recognize and celebrate teachers who make a positive difference in their school communities and in the lives of their students. Awards are given each year to teachers in the categories of elementary, secondary, and beginning teacher.
OTIP Charity Golf Classic
Each August, OTIP hosts a Charity Golf Classic to raise funds for province-wide charities that are creating a positive impact in our communities, such as student nutrition and literacy programs.
OTIP Community Fund
The OTIP Community Fund is an investment initiative that supports the charitable programs that matter most to our members — those that contribute to the ongoing success of educators, students, member health, and social improvement.
OTIP Corporate Donations
Our Corporate Donations program supports initiatives that focus on community betterment, health, diversity and environmental awareness.
Employee Giving
As an organization, giving back is a critical part of our DNA. It reflects the generous and caring nature of our employees, and is an important part of our company culture. Through payroll deductions, fundraising events and other activities through the year, our employees support a number of important causes including Breakfast for Learning, Food Bank of Waterloo Region, Heart and Stroke Foundation, Send'em Off Smiling and the United Way.
