Important information about your RTIP plan


As of January 1, 2022, OTIP is changing how we deliver RTIP. Your coverage, previously provided by Manulife and administered by OTIP, will now be provided directly by OTIP. This exciting news allows us to provide more flexible, reliable, and affordable coverage to members like you.

What do I need to do?

To ensure there is no interruption to your claims experience, there are a few things you need to do: 

Early December 2021:

  • Download and save your digital benefits card: In early December you will be emailed your new digital benefits card containing your OTIP ID number. You will be provided with a password that is needed to open and download your new card. For members who would prefer to have a physical card, please print a copy for your records.
 
  • Contact your healthcare and dental providers: As of January 1, 2022, your new OTIP ID will replace your current plan member information. If you have any health or dental providers who are submitting claims on your behalf (this includes your pharmacy), you will need to contact them to provide your new OTIP ID. For services, up to and including December 31, 2021, continue to use your current benefits card.
 

Late December 2021:

  • Submit any outstanding claims incurred prior to January 1, 2022: To submit claims for products you purchased or services your received in 2021, please use your current benefits card information. You can submit 2021 claims online by logging in at otip.com. We encourage you to submit your 2021 claims prior to December 31, 2021, however you will have  until March 31, 2022 to submit outstanding claims from 2021.
 

January 2022:

  • Register your account: Once you have received your new OTIP ID and benefits card you will need to register your account on the new RTIP plan member secure site. You must register for this new site even if you are already registered for the current site. Once you have registered, you will be able to log in and view your plan coverage, submit and check on the status of claims incurred after January 1, 2022, access your digital benefits card, update your account preferences and more.
  • Use the new RTIP Contact Centre if you need assistance:  As of January 1, 2022, you can reach the new RTIP Contact Centre in the following ways:
    • By phone: 1-833-318-2811
    • By mail: RTIP Contact Centre (Administration), PO Box 1606, Windsor, ON, N9A 6W1
  • Download the RTIP on the go mobile app: Submitting claims is quick and easy with the new RTIP mobile app. View coverage information, submit a claim, or update your account preferences from the convenience of your phone! You can download the app for iPhone, Android, and Blackberry devices by searching RTIP on the go in your app store.
